(More customer reviews)I've gotta admit I really like these mattress protectors. They don't change the feel of our mattresses, nor cause overheating and sweating like our previous protectors.. They fit nicely on our low profile latex mattresses (which are slightly longer & skinnier than our regular mattresses) They also fit our thicker profile mattresses. They wash nicely and dry quickly. The kids spilled an entire glass of water in the center of one and none of it went through. (the top is completely water proof but the sides are not, so if water spills down the side it may or may not protect the mattress) either way they're a great buy! We are very satisfied with our purchase. We will be purchasing more mattress protectors and replacing our current pillow protectors with these as well.

PROS:
~Does not have the cheap, vinyl feel to it like more expensive brands do.
~Quiet
~Easy to put on (I put it on by myself on a queen size mattress in about 3 minutes)
~Well made (I was doing a lot of tugging on it since I was putting it on by myself...other brands have ripped, this one did not).
CONS:
It says that it is 17" deep, my mattress is a pillow top and is about 13.5" and this encasement fits it snugly. I would say that if your mattress is more than 15", this probably would be too small. I just don't see how you could fit a mattress closer to 17" in this encasement since it fits my bed almost perfectly.

Thankfully, I wanted to set everything up before she arrived because all of the items were too small for my crib. The plain white sheet didn't fit the mattress and crib bumper (which I didn't plan to use with my baby in the crib) didn't fit all the way around the crib. The items seemed to be decent quality but obviously in need of washing and ironing before use. I was disappointed the sheet was simply white and had no pattern at all.

This caused many sneezing and nose-running ridden nights as well as mornings. I was contemplating on getting rid of it since it was just sitting in storage.
After doing some searching online, I found some allergy duvet covers and found that this was one of the least expensive ones. I didn't want to spend too much to find out that the cover didn't work. That would be more money wasted.
I received this cover a few days after ordering and quickly washed it for use. It wasn't very hard to put on the duvet. Actually it was like any other duvet cover. We used it last night and how wonderful it was to use our down duvet again! Just in time for the chilly weather too! I haven't put it inside the duvet cover yet because we wanted to see if it would work so I guess today I'll be fitting it into our standard duvet cover.
The quality is sturdy, seams seem to be well done and zipper is heavy duty. It's not coated with any funny chemicals just 100% cotton.
I'm very happy with the cover so far even though it's been 1 night with it!

There are many covers for mattresses, box springs and pillows. I have to admit these are nice. I am so sensitive and touch and feel are very important to me. These are comfortable and have no smell and most of all seem to be working so far! They are soft, did not rip and are plenty large for my pieces, I listened to one person that said to tape the zippers. We also reinforced all edges that come in contact with the bed. We taped all screws and bolts and have no ripping worries. We also used a spray from Amazon that is safe for people and pets on everything and vacuum and take the dirt out in a bag and dispose of the remains. We caulked all cracks and crevices everywhere. It seems to be working better every day! I will update in the future.

(More customer reviews)I first started using a buckwheat pillow about 10 years ago when I saw an "infomercial" about them on TV and then picked one up from the "As Seen On TV" section of my local Walgreens. The pillow I bought then was of poor quality but, even so, it made a world of difference in how well I slept. Some folks will try a buckwheat pillow and put their head on it and say "It's too hard" and then go back to their regular pillow. That's a mistake. Sure, a buckwheat pillow isn't soft (and a good sized one is pretty darned heavy), but that's what makes them work. A soft regular pillow can't provide the support that one of these does! What I usually do is make a dent in the pillow for my head and then wiggle my head around a bit to get it settled in. The buckwheat hulls move around and support my neck and head wonderfully. Now you may think that a firm regular pillow--or one of those "memory foam" pillows--would do the same and you're kind of right. The difference with those pillows is that, while they provide more support, they do not provide the air circulation that a buckwheat pillow does and, as a result, your head gets hot and uncomfortable. I don't quite understand how a buckwheat pillow promotes air circulation, but it does. The only warning about a buckwheat pillow is that once you get used to them, it's difficult to get a really good night's sleep on anything else. That's why I bought a smaller-sized one (the "Japanese size") for travel. Unfortunately, my 8 year old son has now decided it's going to be his, so I'll have to buy another one. The buckwheat pillows made by Beans72 are absolutely first-rate in every respect and the quick shipping means a better night's sleep is even more quickly at hand.

We bought this product because we knew we had a problem, and after less than two months we ended up throwing both it and the mattresses away. While removing the protector, we noticed that bed bugs had no problem passing through the protector all the way around the sides and bottom (as shown by the "red marks" around the seams) and even living/laying eggs that attach to the protector itself. I would not recommend this product for use in prevention of bed bugs.
