(More customer reviews)I've gotta admit I really like these mattress protectors. They don't change the feel of our mattresses, nor cause overheating and sweating like our previous protectors.. They fit nicely on our low profile latex mattresses (which are slightly longer & skinnier than our regular mattresses) They also fit our thicker profile mattresses. They wash nicely and dry quickly. The kids spilled an entire glass of water in the center of one and none of it went through. (the top is completely water proof but the sides are not, so if water spills down the side it may or may not protect the mattress) either way they're a great buy! We are very satisfied with our purchase. We will be purchasing more mattress protectors and replacing our current pillow protectors with these as well.

Both my daughter and I have allergies to dust mites and were told by my neighbor that Luna mattress protectors may help. One of the mattresses was 17" thick so we weren't sure how well it would fit, but it easily covered the mattress nicely. The material is very high quality and washes easily. After about a week we could actually tell a difference in our allergies from before and after we applied the mattress and pillow protectors. One added bonus of the product was when our dog had an accident on the mattress. We were amazed to discover that nothing got through the cover, which was a great relief! This mattress protector has exceeded all of my expectations and I would recommend this to anyone!

(More customer reviews)I bought this cover from the company, before Amazon had them in stock. I bought a new expensive memory foam mattress and felt a good waterproof cover is a worthy investment. Especially because I own a dog!
I was debating between this one and the popular Aller-Zip. Amazon reviews were better for the Luna product. I also wanted bedbug protection, as they are making a huge come back! Luna's website said their products were tested to be bedbug proof.
The item was shipped quickly and it comes with cleaning instructions. It did smell a bit like plastic, but I washed it with cold water on gentle cycle, along with some towels as recommended. Then, I dried it on low with the towels, to prevent the waterproof barrier from melting. The smell went away after washing. The cover was sheeting water when I pulled it out of the washer, so I think it would hold up against spills.
The cover is well constructed with professionally finished seams. The zipper is along 2 sides of the top and the teeth are finer than a normal zipper. It trapped some air when I was slipping it on, so I doubt any bed bugs can crawl through. The fabric isn't very thick and I was worried it would get damaged when I pulled it over the mattress. But it's pliable and surprisingly durable. The top part has a soft terry cloth texture.
No noticeable noise and it does NOT reflect heat. Also, Luna's customer service is excellent. I had a question about the product and e-mailed them. I had a reply the next business day! Another bonus - it's made in the USA. I'm very happy with the quality of this product and would purchase from them again.

At first we were a little put off by the price, seeing as how we could have purchased another brand for at least half the price. The retailer ensured us that it was the best mattress protector on the market; and we have come to agree with him.
First of all, we didn't want a bulky mattress protector that would change the feel of the very nice mattress we had just purchased. And we didn't want something that would make us sweat, or would crinkle, or any of the other annoying characteristics generally associated with mattress protectors.
We did, however, want something that would protect our mattress, so that it would remain under warranty. We also wanted something that, in turn, would protect us.
We have found ourselves to be so pleased with the Protect-A-Bed Premium mattress protectors that we have purchased one for every bed in our house.
The top cover is a small weave cotton terry cloth fabric, which is backed by a polyurethane film, which is waterproof and breathable and acts as a protective barrier (for both you and the mattress). The sides are a stretchable cotton that fits the mattress snuggly, allowing no indication that it is there once the sheet is on the bed.
If you're looking for a mattress "pad". This product is not for you.
If you're looking for "undectable" peace of mind. This product is for you.
