This encasement is made of a stretchy fabric material, not the paper-thin material that most other encasements are made of. This is a very high quality encasement and I am very pleased with this purchase. Also, the zipper goes around 2 sides of the box spring, which made it very easy to put on by myself. SafeRest encasements are also more affordable than similar encasements of the same quality.
