We were attracted by the fact that this is a nontoxic sticky paper that is supposed to attract and kill ants(by poison or just being glued to the paper- I don't know)
Ants did seem slightly interested in them- maybe they smelled good. A few congregated by the traps. Some walked across the sticky paper, most walked off- only a few seemed to be caught and stuck. After a few days, only a few were in the traps.
RAID:
Next, we tried Raid bait(in the red box) No luck. Ants actually avoided these traps.
TERRO:
Next we tried Terro liquid bait. An hour later, the baits were swarming with ants- they poured out (from wherever) Hundreds were lapping at the liquid; More than we had ever seen. 24 hours later they are mostly all gone!
Terro is a sweet liquid laced with Borax, which is supposed to not be dangerous to use around children and pets. Terro was only $6 for 9 baits at Lowes hardware.
