The mattress is completely encased. It gives me peace of mind, knowing that should a nasty bedbug come home in a suitcase, it will not find a home in the children's mattresses.

(More customer reviews)Pros: Beautiful look. Love the colors and floral pattern. Love the extra storage on bottom. I use it for storing extra blankets. Cute plush flowers and lady bug hang above for baby to watch. The sounds it plays are nice and relaxing to listen to. The size is just right for me to move about the house.
Cons: My worst complaint is the rollers on this bassinet. It does have two that lock, however it always feels like it's locked when it's not. We have hardwood floors and it's hard to roll this bassinet from room to room. It really annoys me that I spent good money on something that can't do something as simple as rolling across a flat surface. My second complaint would be that the vibration stays on all the time when turned on. It would have been nice if it would have had a built in timer for it.

(More customer reviews)We had a lot of cockroaches. A lot. It was disgusting. Apparently, they were in the walls, and other condos had problems with them as well. We started out only lightly dusting the Diatomaceous Earth through the kitchen, which is where the biggest problem was. A few weeks went by, and no doubt, some of them were dead. You can tell they were dehydrated. At one point, my boyfriend saw one of them stumbling as if it were drunk, covered in white powder. I knew it was working. We had to sweep them away constantly. But, did they all die? No. We started sprinkling more and more. At one point, the little kitchen was covered in white.
It's very eco-friendly, which is why I tried it. The dog and cat didn't go near it, but it didn't affect them. My boyfriend, who has severe allergies, wasn't affected by it as well. But, some of those suckers wouldn't die! Maybe the other reviewers didn't have as bad as a problem as we did. But, once we moved out (we didn't move out because of the cockroaches, but they did help) and we took away all of the food and moisture, they were pretty much gone.
So yes, it did work. I still have some. It lasts a long time. If I see some in our new place, I will no doubt use it again. Maybe our problem was just too big for this powder.

My husband and I have a protect-a-bed cover on our queen-size mattress, but I wanted something to put on my child's crib mattress. I only paid $38 for his mattress, so I didn't want to spend twice as much on a mattress cover (protect-a-bed covers are pricey, but very high quality). This ELF product got my hopes up, saying it was bed bug proof. When it arrived in the mail (I bought 2), one of the zippers came off when I zipped it for the first time, and the other one started unraveling at the seems after I washed it once. The material does not give at all, so the thread was pulling on the fabric and creating a gap in between the thread and the material -- completely making it possible for bed bugs to get in and out of the encasement. If you are buying this product to serve as a waterproof cover, it's an alright product, but this is definitely not bed bug proof. I was very disappointed. I will be returning this product.

They fit nicely on our low profile latex mattresses (which are slightly longer & skinnier than our regular mattresses) They also fit our thicker profile mattresses. They wash nicely and dry quickly. The kids spilled an entire glass of water in the center of one and none of it went through. (the top is completely water proof but the sides are not, so if water spills down the side it may or may not protect the mattress) either way they're a great buy! We are very satisfied with our purchase. We will be purchasing more mattress protectors and replacing our current pillow protectors with these as well.

(More customer reviews)I bought this due to the fact that it was a lot cheaper then other brands I had looked at and previously owned. This encasement is awesome!
PROS:
~Does not have the cheap, vinyl feel to it like more expensive brands do.
~Quiet
~Easy to put on (I put it on by myself on a queen size mattress in about 3 minutes)
~Well made (I was doing a lot of tugging on it since I was putting it on by myself...other brands have ripped, this one did not).
CONS:
It says that it is 17" deep, my mattress is a pillow top and is about 13.5" and this encasement fits it snugly. I would say that if your mattress is more than 15", this probably would be too small. I just don't see how you could fit a mattress closer to 17" in this encasement since it fits my bed almost perfectly.
